The Vessel Monitoring Technician manages the Quinault Nation’s Electronic Vessel Monitoring program and all data products produced by it. This position will also work closely with the Department of Fisheries, the Division of Natural Resources and Quinault Resource Enforcement and provide all services required to manage the Vessel Monitoring electronic systems installed on ocean-going vessels involved in the fisheries of the Nation. These services consist of installing equipment, diagnosing and repairing of equipment failures, coordinating data exchange and storage, analyzing video and other data products and creating reports of activities of Quinault Ocean fishing vessels when participating in Quinault regulated fisheries.
