Watch the improving water quality on the Nisqually Tribe’s shellfish farm

Last winter we covered the Nisqually Tribe’s shellfish farm on Henderson Bay and the water quality improvements that are making harvesting there possible. Below is a series of maps produced by the tribe to show how water quality has increased in the last six years.

On the map, the outlined black areas are tribal ownership, the green areas are approved for harvest, yellow are open under certain conditions and red is closed for harvest.
